In this type of ministry, additions bring both celebration and sadness. We love to sit back and watch as God rescues His little ones from the darkness, despair, and rejection their lives once knew. He scoops them up into His arms and places them into a loving, God-fearing, protective new family and begins to restore their weary bodies and souls.
We are very careful not to go around telling people the stories of the kids we help. Their sponsors know details, but we even ask them that they share with discretion. We want all children to keep their dignity so they feel protected when they are older, cherished and not treated as anything less. But sometimes you just want to shout about His glory and give praise where praise is due.
Hi. We are the Mitchell’s from rural Kentucky. We have six children; four happen to be adopted. Three of the boys are three-years-old, which is as crazy as you might imagine. We recently took our oldest two children (Abby 13 and Jonah 11) to Kenya and Uganda on a mission trip with Visiting Orphans.
